Salvation Salvation

Salvation by Grace

When the Lord Jesus revealed to Paul for the first time ever the “administration of God’s grace” for us today (Ephesians 3:2), He also revealed to him “the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24).

And remember how grace works:

“If it is by grace, then it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.” (Romans 11:6).

We are saved today entirely by the Lord’s work on the cross for us. He did all that is needed to get us into heaven for all eternity when He took the blame, accepted the responsibility for all our sins, and paid the penalty in full for all that’s wrong with us. “Christ died for our sins… Christ died for the ungodly… While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (1 Corinthians 15:3, Romans 5:5 & 8).

Our part?

Simply believe what God says. Stop trusting in our own efforts to save ourselves, our own efforts to get into heaven. Don’t depend on our church, or our religion, or our own efforts, but let the Lord save us. And He can because He paid for our sins in full.

Is that all? Saved by faith alone? Can we really be sure?

Paul told about a Christian man who died, and his works are tested by the Lord, to see what reward the Lord will give him. And when his works are tested, they are all found to be worthless. He was saved but he never witnessed to anyone, he never prayed, he never gave his offering to the Lord’s work. Then it says that even though his works were all found to be worthless by the Lord, “He himself will be saved.” (1 Corinthians 3:15).

There’s no reward for him, but he gets into heaven! Why? Because we’re under grace, “And if it is by grace then it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace” (Romans 11:6).

Christ did everything that needs to be done to get anyone into heaven.

Are you trusting Him alone as your Savior today? Do you believe in God’s “Grace For Today”?

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved….” (Acts 16:31)

Moses was the Law-giver for Israel, and his dispensation included instructions about food, so also Paul became the “dispenser” of the dispensation of the grace of God, and his dispensation also included instructions about food.

Every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving. (1st Timothy 4:4)

The Answer to the Problem of Unanswered Prayer

The Lord Jesus revealed to Paul, “the unsearchable riches of Christ.”

The Kingdom blessings were promised and written about all through the Old Testament, but now the Lord revealed a program of blessings that were “unsearchable.”

You can search the scriptures, but you won’t find this new message, because it was “hidden in God,” until the Lord revealed it to Paul for you and me today.

In this dispensation of grace, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. We do not know what to pray for as we ought, so the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:26)

Gift of Tongues Gift Of Tongues

When Did the Gift of Tongues Cease?

“Love never fails.” But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. (1st Cor 13:8-10)

Rightly dividing the word of God, is the key to understanding your Bible.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)

We divide truth from truth, for all the Bible is truth. However, not all the Bible is our truth.

God has put a clear division in his word by rightly dividing our bible into dispensations. There are different rules for different people at different times. No contradictions exist in God’s word.

The main division in the Bible is between “prophecy” and “mystery.”

Rightly dividing God’s word will give you a clear understanding of how to be saved, and what God’s purpose and plan is for us, in this Grace for Today.

As we study, our spiritual understanding widens and deepens, and we begin to see the things that we didn’t see or understand before.
